Jean-Jacques Bigabwa Birindwa brings over 20 years of diverse professional experience spanning public administration, financial governance, monitoring and evaluation, and large-scale agricultural development programming in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Holding a degree in Business Management from the Université Protestante au Congo, his career reflects a multidisciplinary background that bridges government advisory roles, international development programming, and results-based performance management. He has served in senior technical and advisory positions within ministerial cabinets and in IFAD-funded development programs, where he strengthened monitoring systems, financial oversight mechanisms, procurement processes, and institutional coordination.
As Secretary General of the Board of Directors at Humanitarian Action for Africa (HAA), he plays a key governance and supervision role. He contributes to strategic oversight, policy guidance, compliance assurance, and accountability at the institutional level, ensuring that HAA’s operations align with its mission, regulatory standards, and long-term development vision.
Fluent in French, Lingala, and Swahili, with working knowledge of English, Jean-Jacques strengthens HAA’s governance architecture through his broad expertise, strategic perspective, and commitment to transparent, results-driven leadership.
